14K Two-Tone 'Marquis' & Rounds' Diamond Ring / 3
All done! The center stone is a 2.10 cts./ "E' color/ SI2 clarity. And the total weight of the smaller 12 stones is aprox. 1.5 cts. It is a size "5"...which is kind of a petite finger for such a lot of ring.......but the client loved it and said it was very comfortable! Yay!

The yellow gold part of this ring was produced from a commercially available wax pattern that I had to modify slightly. The white gold appliances were custom carved from "Ferris hard green" to accomodate the client's stones......These white gold appliances were perfectly fitted against the yellow gold ring by first casting and polishing the yellow gold.....THEN heating the ring up..and IMBEDDING the ring into two oversized blocks of the hard green carving wax...one on each side. Then it's just a matter of removing all the green wax that you don't need! This way...the ONLY part of these green waxes you don't have to carve...is the part that is HARDEST to carve......the surface that touches the yellow gold.....a perfect fit!
